The recirculation kits performs multi-stage filtration and removes the odor from the gas and smoke that is sucked into the range hood, which removes harmful components and pollutants in the smoke, and effectively solves the problem of using range hoods in houses where the range hood cannot be exhausted. This is the quietest range hood I have ever used with an unique design. The installation is straight forward for most with video tutorial online that's readily available. I went with a professional installation. This range hood is rated at 1100cfm and the unique design has worked very well. My home no longer smells even when I deep fry. I did two modifications for my installation. I went with a Zephyr 6"-8" duct increaser. The reason I did this is because the range hood is rated over 1000cfm. This might not be necessary but it's a choice I made for myself because of the rated CFM. My installation required a 4" spacer piece. I used 6" 10-32 fine thread screws to secure my upper cabinet to the range hood to make up the 4" spacer difference. This is not necessary according to Fotile but I went the extra mile for $13 more in screws, bolts, and washers. So far I am very satisfied with how quiet and powerful it is. I’m converting from an upright to a canister vacuum, so I’ve had to change my technique in how I vacuum the house. Instead of starting at one end of the room and then stepping backward to make the next path as I’ve always done with an upright, that way just doesn’t work for a few reasons, but to keep this brief, instead I now pick a section of the room to start (my rooms are small to average in size at only 1100 sq feet total), so it’s usually towards the center of the room where I position the canister vacuum and begin a starburst pattern. I keep the canister vacuum relatively in the same spot, until I am ready to begin in another section. This way there is less moving of the canister vacuum. Now the hose and handle are quite long when combined on the Kenmore canister vacuum, not to mention sturdy, so I only reposition 2 or 3 times in my smaller-size rooms, and I’m done in that room. Pros are, it gets under furniture much easier than an upright, hands down, and it is quieter. A bonus of this machine is you can control the suction, and therefore that is done with changing the speed of the motor, so if you can do light cleaning at a lower suction and not feel like your waking the entire house., The noise level drops dramatically. For me, this alone seals the deal on this cleaning machine. I also liked that all the tools are stored on the body of the vacuum and covered, so they’re not getting knocked off, and I’m not having to constantly run to the closet to dig through a bag of parts looking for the right attachment. All full size vacuums should follow Kenmore ways of thinking and designing vacuum cleaners in my opinion. Even though I found my work around in my style of vacuuming, it is a bit more difficult to carry around, a bit bulky, but I am not at all regretting my purchase of a canister vac, and I highly recommend the option pop and go bagged canister vacuum by Kenmore. I think it does just as good, if not better, of a job than vacuums two or three times higher in price. It’s built sturdy, which makes it a little heavier, but I expect it to last for many, many years. I suggest you give this vacuum a test yourself and see if you agree. The vacuum was $999 on another site so I tried Wayfair. The description was confusing as to what attachments came with it and for that reason I give it 4 stars. The vacuum is perfect. Nice piece, but it's really more of an institutional item and assumes that you are replacing an existing urinal or have framing in place to accommodate an install. Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports. The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. For high smoke activities such as seasoning a wok or searing steak, the 3rd settings is more than enough to suck up all the fumes. The fan speeds are all pretty quiet.
