This product is a replacement for the 6kw unit that i had for 10 years. I actually don't have a use for the lights and speakers as my shower is already done. Not very happy with the programmability of the unit. You can only run the unit in 30 min increments. So if it takes 15 minutes to get up to temp you have to run it for another 30 + 15 remaining from the preheat. Maybe I'll find a way to not have to add 30 min. I have never had a batch disposal before. I have always had the traditional ones that require a switch to turn on. The only real issue (and its not much of one) is with how our sink is in the kitchen island there isn't a good spot to set the plunger when not in use other than in the sink itself. It is powerful and I am really happy how well it does its job. There is no flap that covers the opening to the drain like on traditional disposals. I thought this would be an issue having it open and silverware falling in. With our drain off to the right it really has not been a problem. Although I did have a fork fall into it the fact that the disposals "neck" between the sink and the bottom is long so the fork never fully fell into the disposal it just stood straight up. Also not having that flap covering the disposal makes it much easier to see at a glance if anything has made its way in that should be there. It is noisy but not bad, just as I expected as from traditional. I like the safety of it not turning on unless the plunger is in. We have young kiddos. Just makes me feel better. I'm really enjoying this so far. I've got it working with SmartThings which means it's working (okay) with Google Home. All five of my RF fans work with this device. I would say signal is sent to those devices correctly 95% of the time. I have found that if I accidentally misclick, it is better if I count to 10 before making the correct choice. Is it perfect? No. But it is extremely helpful. These are things I was ready for, but some other buyers might not be ready for. This is an RF controlling device. While it makes some devices a little easier to use it does not make those devices "smart". If you have someone who likes to use the remotes a lot, the app will show incorrect settings for those devices that have changed with the remote. This does not bug me, but for someone who is not ready for that, make sure you understand what this device is first. I highly recommend Bond. This is an affordable way to use what you already have. Less devices in the landfill for replacements, and a pretty great way to control my devices from my phone. Haven’t put food down it yet but it takes gel and water. Installation instructions were confusing because one piece was different than pictured and they are not labled properly. My first time booking something like this up and it took about one hour. Used youtube to help put it together. It’s very heavy so I recommend using a bucket to hold it up. Wayfair delivered the wrong item at first but then sent me the correct one without a hassle. I know I can always count on Wayfair to make it right!
