I'm overall happy with the cooling power of the fan though you definitely get what you pay for here. The paper filter definitely has a wet paper smell during the first use but that goes away. I added some essential oil to the water and now it smells great every time. Overall it's functional and easy to use, clean, and store when you don't need it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I set it up in my home gym which is in my garage, so it gets hot especially in the Southwest summers. Setup was not bad at all. It really cools, but with most air conditioners it cycles between cooling and just blowing air. Temperature goes down to 60, and the air is really cold when it's cycling. It has a remote control which is super convenient if you're using this in your bedroom and dont want to get out of bed to adjust the temperature. It can also connect to wifi which is a good added feature. It's surprisingly compact and doesn't take up much space.
