The table top is steel. The description say its constructed with both aluminum and steel, but did not say which parts. The only aluminum I could find was the housing for the gas knob and igniter. I was hoping the table top was aluminum so it wouldn't rust. The wicker is much more grayer than the picture on-line. Looks great. See attached photo. Thanks to the review from Antwain of Cedar Falls for saying not to tighten the screws until its all put together, that really helped. It does produce quite a bit of heat even in open areas. The only thing I do not like is that it is very low to the floor. If you were wanting to use it as a table, I would recommend using a riser underneath to lift it off the floor, even like to round cylinder outdoor tables that are maybe 20 inches tall would look cute and some plants underneath I do give it a five star rating and I highly recommend for purchase.
