I was worried about the bar in front because you obviously can’t scoot all the way in or your legs will hit the bar, but you know what… it didn’t impact us while eating at all. These chairs are awesome! They replaced the traditional wooden Adirondack chairs with many slats. They were wooden and therefore had to be constantly repainted. Mother Nature won out in the end. Decent chairs. They are attractive and sturdy. It does take some time to put them together, but we managed. The hardest part was taking the stickers off the parts of the chairs.
