This is my second attempt at buying/using an ice maker. The first time I never worked and that’s bc it was a very poorly ventilated mobile home in Florida and the heat was too much. Now, I’m in a ‘regular’ home and thought I’d give it another’s try with this model and low and behold, this thing cranks out the ice non-stop and you don’t need to stand their while it’s doing it but it helps bc you do want to put the ice in your freezer - I used a metal mixing bowl and filled it to the top in mere minutes. I purchased this item (Viking 4QT Pot) for $120 (before tax and shipping). It was on sale, and I think I got a great deal. It's exactly the right size, and the nonstick coating is fantastic. Just what I needed at an amazing price. I had to find a small model that could do both because I lack counter and cabinet space. I use this daily and it sits on my counter. The food processor fits quite a bit of food (4 cups)and also come with a shredder/slicer which is a bonus. The blender is full size. My first Cuisinart was a wedding gift and lasted over 25 years.
