I have been eyeing Hestan for a year or more. I know it’s pricey. But for me I am almost 40. My husband and I have been married for over a year and our current pot and pan situation is a mix from our college days and donations from various family members trying to rid of their old pots and pan. You know how that goes. So I have been doing investigations on the best pans in the market. Making my various pro and con lists. I was considering scan pan. But with Hestan. Yes it’s a lot. But I won’t be replacing them in 5-10 years from now. They are meant to last. Per all the reviews. I know I want pan that I put in the dishwasher and don’t have to worry about it being injured from my amateur cooking skills. I love the feel of the pan. The handle all of that. When I picked up the all clads in the store they are too like straight or not like ergonomic for my petite frame. I want to eventually get the whole set of pans. But since we were moving. And my husbands old saucepan had been beaten up and the non stick wearing off. I was like ok time to try the 1.5 qt. I had a wayfair coupon and wedding money to spend. On something that is essential to my kitchen. It has cleaned up beautifully in the dishwasher. I only wash the lid by hand since that isn’t nanobond. The saucepan. Had little water marks coming out of the dishwasher which I don’t mind but they do have a polish they sell if you are displaying your pots. I heated up some brown sugar and butter. Which turned out great. Only tip I got from Hestan when I called about the different pans. Was it you have an electric stove with coils. I love my Nanobond 3.5qt essential pan; it cooks like a dream. That said, I think even this size pan would’ve benefited from a helper handle. A very good range/stove that we have used for the last year. It has a few idiosyncrasies to which we have become accustomed. The clock is ridiculously hard to set. We have to look it up every time the time/date changes. There is no automated option. No smart connection for this unit at all, which is a plus and a minus. The power is insanely good. It can boil water so fast. The oven is very even. The unit feels solid. Placing a pot on an unused hob will result in a clicking noise that happens every few seconds. At first this drove me nuts, but now it's fine. The induction is fairly loud, especially when placed at a high level. The stainless steel scratches fairly easily. At first this was annoying, but now it's a kind of patina. This thing gets some serious use daily and I'm okay with it. Delivery was uneventful. I did need to make some mods to my electrical outlet but that was no big deal. Cost me $200 to get an electrician out. Make sure you have the outlets and plugs that you want/need in advance.. Adam. This set are amazing they heat up even and quickly on my induction stove. Love the weight and the clean up is nice. Just make sure to let the pans cool down before cleaning . [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! This Lotus Multi-Function Cooker and Dutch oven is a beast of a kitchen tool. It single handily was my sous-chef for prepping and making Thanksgiving dinner, along with many other meals. Its multiple settings include slow cook like a standard crock pot, sauté/sear which I found myself using mostly, rice cooker, sous vide, meal timer/manual function which is also helpful. I’ve made couscous, rice and multiple chicken dinners, seared veggies, made stock and kept my mashed potatoes warm while I finished Thanksgiving dinner. This machine has a lot of power and functionality while looking quite professional and high end. My only complaint is the size/weight of it, with all that power and functions come parts to hoist and overall it’s a bit large for simply keeping out on my counter so I keep it tucked away. Without having proper space for this machine I can see it being hard to keep around, luckily I have the room. Being able to see the progress of the water as it nears a boil also allows you to turn off the heat when you want to enjoy beverage that benefits from a temperature that is just off-a-boil. The levered one-touch spout includes a heat-resistant silicone cover and can be open and closed with a thumb or single finger. The spout's melodic whistle alerts you to when your water is ready to serve. Depending on how much water is in the kettle and how long it’s been boiling, heat may transfer to the handle, especially with gas stoves. Please be sure the lid is tightly seated in place before heating.
