The gas range is very powerful, the iron grill is sturdy and offers a flat top (no pot or pan wiggling!) for the entire range. This feature is helpful in a small kitchen with limited counter space. Other reviewers are correct when saying the temperature dial needs to be set above the needed temp to get a correct preheat. Remedy with a hanging oven thermometer. Do not, I repeat, Do not get the ‘GE Installation’ service with this appliance. Even if you buy an installation kit. The technician will come in, excuse in hand, and will tell you that any dust, or light green on the gas pipe disallows them to service the installation. (When plumbers test for gas leaks upon installation they spray a little water on the line, leading to a light green) Be ready with your own plumber on the day of delivery. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! This Lotus Multi-Function Cooker and Dutch oven is a beast of a kitchen tool. It single handily was my sous-chef for prepping and making Thanksgiving dinner, along with many other meals. Its multiple settings include slow cook like a standard crock pot, sauté/sear which I found myself using mostly, rice cooker, sous vide, meal timer/manual function which is also helpful. I’ve made couscous, rice and multiple chicken dinners, seared veggies, made stock and kept my mashed potatoes warm while I finished Thanksgiving dinner. This machine has a lot of power and functionality while looking quite professional and high end. My only complaint is the size/weight of it, with all that power and functions come parts to hoist and overall it’s a bit large for simply keeping out on my counter so I keep it tucked away. Without having proper space for this machine I can see it being hard to keep around, luckily I have the room. Very happy with this purchase. Was looking for a ten inch wide and high sided Everyday cooking skillet. After cleaning new skillet, I heated the pan, before adding any oil on a low med heat. I have been eyeing Hestan for a year or more. I know it’s pricey. But for me I am almost 40. My husband and I have been married for over a year and our current pot and pan situation is a mix from our college days and donations from various family members trying to rid of their old pots and pan. You know how that goes. So I have been doing investigations on the best pans in the market. Making my various pro and con lists. I was considering scan pan. But with Hestan. Yes it’s a lot. But I won’t be replacing them in 5-10 years from now. They are meant to last. Per all the reviews. I know I want pan that I put in the dishwasher and don’t have to worry about it being injured from my amateur cooking skills. I love the feel of the pan. The handle all of that. When I picked up the all clads in the store they are too like straight or not like ergonomic for my petite frame. I want to eventually get the whole set of pans. But since we were moving. And my husbands old saucepan had been beaten up and the non stick wearing off. I was like ok time to try the 1.5 qt. I had a wayfair coupon and wedding money to spend. On something that is essential to my kitchen. It has cleaned up beautifully in the dishwasher. I only wash the lid by hand since that isn’t nanobond. The saucepan. Had little water marks coming out of the dishwasher which I don’t mind but they do have a polish they sell if you are displaying your pots. I heated up some brown sugar and butter. Which turned out great. Only tip I got from Hestan when I called about the different pans. Was it you have an electric stove with coils.
