The lines that connect from outside to inside need about a 2 inch diameter hole to pass through. We also decided to buy a rack so that we could hang the main condenser above the ground. We were not able to install this by ourselves and had to call for reinforcements via an HVAC guy. Once everything is finished being installed I will update with the finished product! UPDATE: like others have posted, you will need a special HVAC vacuum to start the unit. You will also need special wire and a 220 outlet to connect to. Can't beat this deck box for the price. Excellent value. Assembly is straightforward and all parts are labeled. The 90 gal. size (in some places it says 82 gal.) was just enough to fit 6 dining cushions and pillows. It is sturdy enough for being this light but I wouldn't say this is a heavy duty and sturdy box that will take abuse such as sitting on it or kids jumping on it. These work just as good as our box frame that was 6” thick! (We got a new bed frame that would’ve raised the mattress up too high).
