These rustic pots are lovely, and just what I was looking for. My only complaint is what is with all the excessive packaging! Seriously. These are rustic, somewhat pitted terra cotta pots. Not precious china. But I now need to dispose of a huge box of styrofoam pellets. Way overkill. They probably could have been shipped with a nice little wrap of bubble wrap, which they had, but then covered by a ton of styrofoam. Please remember that this is the only planet we’ve got. So far.. I love the look of this pot so much I use it as a little tool pot for various decor with other curated collections because it’s got such a great look!!! As far a plant pot there is no drainage hole … I would just throw some pebbles in the bottom if I ever get a plant in it it was a little smaller than expected, even after I saw the measurements. At first when I took these out of the box I wasn’t sure if I liked these, they were much more rusticfolk artsy than I expected, they aren’t even perfectly round, the painting isn’t consistent. They also are more of a brownish terra cotta than my other terra cotta pots, which have an orange hue. But then when I placed them in my Southwestern designed Living room they were absolutely perfect. They added just the right amount of rustic charm. This rustic terra cotta pot is given its unique character by using a centuries-old, handmade process using canvas-lined molds and traditionally fired kilns then rubbed by hand with dried moss and let to sit outdoors to naturally age which gives it a one-of-a-kind natural patina. Each piece is distressed using old clay to add texture and individually handled so natural ware such as gentle chips and color variation are to be expected and embraced. This Terra Cotta Cylinder has a drainage hole.
