Great product for the price. The LEDs make it easy to change colors. Easy to install. This is the 10" and we could have gone a little bigger for the space. Had we gone with the 13" we wouldn't have to touch up paint around it, but I also like that they aren't that noticeable and something bigger might have been too obtrusive as this is just a small rectangle between multiple rooms. My wife got this for me on a lark. We recently remodeled and repainted my office, and she felt like the light strand would make it kinda fun. She was 100% correct! The LED light strand adds a certain je ne sais quois to the room. The office is nautically themed, so one might expect sparse decorating, with paneled brown walls… this look, with the lighting, looks very nice. The remote control has several buttons that let you change colors and animations. The only issue is, and they address this in the included manual, when you size it you have to cut at specific areas. Replaced 2 8 foot flourescent garage ceiling mount lights. Not user friendly with respect to mounting on ceiling where existing wiring penetrates. Unfortunately, these lights don’t work in my house. They are made for new construction and in order to make them work in an older house. You will need to order the springs from the company for them to work unless you have newer construction they won’t work. That being said, they seem like good quality.
