This arrived well-packed in the manufacturer's box and was new, arrived ahead of schedule. The 5.5 quart size was the size I was looking for things like chili, stews, soups, etc. I needed to buy new because I moved to a home with an induction cooktop. This is an expensive investment but after all the research (Reddit was the best source) I wanted guaranteed reliability and longevity. I measured my old large pot and this one correlated close. I personally think the largest size, the 8.9 would be too big for my daily use. Best pan, bought to get away from non stick dangerous chemicals, only caveat is you need to heat the pan for about 3 minutes first so food won’t stick, however it gives time to chop food or bring out your ingredients.
