The downside of vacuum packed pillows is that you really don’t get a good sense of what they are like until about 24 hours after you’ve unpacked them. When I first opened these, they felt super lumpy. It didn’t matter how much I massaged and fluffed them. One day later and they’re much better, and no lumps! They are definitely pretty firm—good support for sleeping on my side. They’re heavy too due to the high feather content. The fabric is very silky and smooth. That, combined with how they’re constructed, means I don’t expect the feathers will be poking through. Overall, these are quality pillows, which I always expect from Pacific Coast.. Savannah.
