These chairs are beautiful and much better quality than expected. I had a friend visit and the first thing she noticed, out of all the furniture I had recently purchased for my backyard remodel, were these chairs. I didn’t notice any major damage but will have to take a closer look as I know previous reviewers found problems with theirs. We wanted an alternative to installing an awning, and this umbrella fits the bill. We've had it for a couple weeks and so far we love it. It's easy to raise, lower, tilt, and swivel. Putting it together was pretty simple, but definitely requires two people so one can hold the umbrella/pole in place. Don't attach the feet if you're going to use a base because you attach it directly to the base instead. (We bought the Madeley Plastic Free Standing Umbrella Base, which uses water or sand. It does not come with a base, just criss-cross feet.) The pole and supports are stout. The umbrella does creak and move around a bit when it's windy, which I expected because physics. ;-) The material does a nice job of blocking the sun, and I love the teal color.. Gmh. These were easy to put together. The were fairly comfortable to sit on. When I pulled it out of the box there was already a little bit of rust on one leg, so I’m a little bit worried they will rust while outside. It I like that they are stackable and seem easy to clean..
