Was a little disappointed that it didn't come with a remote (apparently a small oversight on my part). With 15' cathedral ceilings, a pull chain was not an option. A quick call to a very helpful Wayfair sales rep pointed me in the right direction on which remote was compatible with this specific fan model. The remote was easy to install and it worked like a charm. Fan assembly was easy. We also added a longer (24") down rod (purchased from our local box store) with no issues. This fan is beautiful. The prettiest fan I have bought in years. It even had extra longer blades than the average ceiling fan. The reason I gave it a four star and not five is because of fan speed. I was really excited it had six speeds. Unfortunately having it on the highest speed, six, it only feels like a two on a three speed ceiling fan. Exactly the asthetic we were looking for to replace a very dated fan/light combo. Install was pretty easy, except the wiring forced us to use only the remote and we can no longer use our wall switch, which is a bummer.
