so far it is keeping cold. the freezer space is cut down with the extra ice maker,if i leave it off and use the extra room, i am in fear that the ice may not start working again. i really like it,but it might not start working if it is left off to long. so i have been informed by LG. Was debating on a stainless bowl and so happy I went with the white fireclay drop in sink. I love the basket strainer and sink grid that it comes with.
