It is obvious that they missed an important step in the instructions regarding spring loaded latches for the inside of the left front gate. This carrier was a life saver when I was moving with 2 very skittish cats. I had to take them on a ferry and a 6 hour car ride and this carrier was large enough to fit a small letterbox in there with them and I did not have to open the crate until we were safely in our new space.
