The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. I love this vacuum. It works great. The only thing is the cord will get stuck in the bottom of the vacuum if you’re not careful while using. I love this little machine. Picks up real well one button press and you have your hand vac. Keep in mind this is not a full size vacuum cleaner it is an auto broom. The cup is small but powerful. Appears to be relatively heavy-duty and well made. It is certainly long enough to serve as we expected for our old fat beagle to use to get up into my truck, on the couch and possibly onto the bed again. Rocky has arthritis in his hips and we do a lot of lifting of his aft end to get him up the back steps, into the truck and onto the couch. The ramp is long enough to make the grade favorable and not so steep he cannot negotiate most "climbs" as needed. The ramp is very compact when collapsed, yet quite strong when extended for use. I have a 7 year old boxer who has never been comfortable going into the pool…I spotted this and am thrilled with the idea of offering her this option. It shipped quickly and with no issues. Once the box is opened I found it wrapped in a great draw string bag which will be good for storage in between seasons. It is a heavy thick material that is definitely designed for dog pawsnails.
