The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. The wheels were not allowed while traveling but were handy once the crate was disassembled to make it easier to move around. Improvements: - The area where the wheels attach got pretty beat up, would be nice if there was something else to put on top while not using the wheels. - the handles on top are plastic, and although they should be used just to move the top of the crate, one was missing when I returned back to Texas.
