I bought this bed as a Christmas present for my mums senior kitty who is always cold, we’ve noticed her huddling up to lamps and Christmas lights and anything that gives off the tiniest bit of heat so a heated bed seemed like a great idea and it was worth every penny! We have never seen such a blissed out cat (her sister uses it too, so TWO blissed out kitties!) She knew it was for her and hasn’t left it since we set it up, except to eat and crawls right back into it. It’s obvious she LOVES it and we couldn’t be happier, I swear, she’s even smiling! The quality is amazing and it’s WAY bigger than I expected but it’s perfect, her and her sister fit in it together or she loved being wrapped up with a blanket in there. I’m so tempted to buy another one for my cat now, I am extremely happy with it! We haven’t used the cooling setting much yet, the fan noise does make them give it a funny look the minute or two we’ve turned it on trying to get it to the heat setting but it’s quiet enough I’m sure they’ll get used to it and love it in the summer. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. Adorable for the dog tub we installed in our laundry room. Things you should know: the tiles in the box seem random. We ordered 2 boxes. In all, we received varying quantities of each doggie face. Sometimes 2, 3, or 5 of any one particular face. You can match any two tiles side by side and it creates a face where the edges meet, but we didn't want to repeat the same center dog face side by side. It takes some effort since there are a different, random number of each face. We laid them out on the carpet and played with the layout, arranging and rearranging so we liked the design. Then we used blue painters tape on each tile and numbered them, starting with the bottom row, since that is what the tile installer would begin with. My husband made a great graphic illustration of the layout so there would be no mistakes. We used a white scallop tile for the sides of the tub, and a black and white mosaic for the floor. The house is still under construction so the plumbing is not finished - no hose and sprayer installed yet- and some of the grout was missing the day I took the pics.
