Unfortunately, my cat kept trying to shove his face through, and I was worried about him hurting himself. The latch could also be opened if he were to jump up and pull down on it, and the gate had a lot of play in the middle, so it would wobble back and forth. I returned it and got this gate. It took care of all of the issues I had regarding the first one! No more fear of my cat trying to push his face through the bars, the latch is cat proof, and it is much more stable! I didn’t even have to add the bonus hardware half way up to add to the stability. I also love the added feature of the door swinging both ways, as it makes it easier to keep my cat back who tries to get out at times when I am coming through the gate. This is a PERFECT solution to dividing our back yard up! Our whole back yard is fenced in which is great and allows our dogs ample space to run around but makes it hard to host sometimes. While our guests love our fur babies, we don’t always want them around food outside or running around our grandparents or young kids.
