The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. Great product. We actually bought this as a play house for our toddlers (and our three pups) but our toddlers love to play with anything that looks like a real life playhouse. We added a play kitchen and a play table so we can play “What would you like to order” so so sturdy and has various uses.
