We are very happy with our Backyard Discovery Beaumont 14x12 pergola! The only negative would be the time it took to arrive, which was about six weeks. Otherwise, it is very well made and looks beautiful. You need at least three people to put together. The good: We bought the 14x10 and it is heavy duty. I haven't fixed it to my deck yet, but I doubt that would even be necessary because it's heavy and sturdy. It gets 4 stars because I'm confident it will serve its purpose for a long time. The bad: I can't give it 5 stars because assembly was difficult, even with 2 people in their 30s. It took us a total of around 10-12 hours over a few days. When assembling the large/heavy support beams, you will probably need to have some kind of supporting table or shelf to lean them on (or have a person hold a large piece while someone affixes it to another) to prevent bending. You'll also need at least one step ladder and a Phillips head screwdriver, which the description fails to mention and isn't included. Great value for the price. I installed it on my Sorara Mirador Pergola, and it worked well. I’d need is raising the underside height from 89” to 94”. Some of the louvers arrived with minor factory paint scratches. I reached out to Mirador for touch-up paint, but they don’t offer any. Good quality product. Assembly was good but one step would be safer with three people. Only negative comment could be a little sturdier. There is more flex in the structure than I would expect.
