The 12x20 pergola I ordered is close to 1000 pounds shipping in 7 boxes so the heaviest single box is about 150 lbs so two people are needed to move it around. The instructions recommended 4 people for the install. I had my brother to help but due to the weight I wanted 6 people (one at each post) to move the assembled product to minimize damage to the frame. High quality parts all around but because it’s all aluminum that is great for lower weight but it is still 1/2 ton of weight that needs to be moved around during an installation. I ordered two of these and placed them sideways so that I could have a 16 wide and 24 feet long covered area. It definitely took four people about four hours to put up the first one but second one went a lot smoother after figuring out all the louvers. I’ve had it up for about a month so far with some pretty strong winds and so far so good. We did have a decent rain and it kept everything dry when I closed the louvers but then we had a torrential rain and it was just way too much for the small areas to hold so it definitely leaked in a few spots. The good: We bought the 14x10 and it is heavy duty. I haven't fixed it to my deck yet, but I doubt that would even be necessary because it's heavy and sturdy. It gets 4 stars because I'm confident it will serve its purpose for a long time. The bad: I can't give it 5 stars because assembly was difficult, even with 2 people in their 30s. It took us a total of around 10-12 hours over a few days. When assembling the large/heavy support beams, you will probably need to have some kind of supporting table or shelf to lean them on (or have a person hold a large piece while someone affixes it to another) to prevent bending. You'll also need at least one step ladder and a Phillips head screwdriver, which the description fails to mention and isn't included. purchased four and set them side to side. they look great frame is very sturdy and heavy steel. the anchors they come with definitely not long enough to hold long term in ground. i replaced with 12 galvanized anchors. the ceiling material is flimsy but does the job for now overall i say 83 happy.
