We had this system installed in our remodeled bathroom in September 2023. For the most part, it has worked beautifully and we've been ecstatic with it. However, it is not without issues. It has to be re-paired with Amazon Alexa every 3 months, unlike every other Alexa skill out there. Why? Who knows. Because Kohler says so, I guess. Lately it has been needing to be re-paired every 2 weeks (today was the 3rd time). Also today it said there's a firmware update, but when I go to update I get a message that the shower is offline and I need to check the wifi connection. How? There's no wifi settings on the shower setup or in the app, or in my Kohler account anywhere. There is an Advanced/Locked section of settings that requires a PIN on the in-shower control and I have no idea what the PIN is or how to find it; we didn't set it and we can't get into these settings. Nice looking tub, but while inspecting prior to install notices that the holes were very rough with burrs that would catch the threads on a cloth, would definitely scratch you in the tub. Repair person was sent and it can be fixed. Unfortunately after install we found that light shines directly through the tub and the fiberglass is paper thin (noticed from a plumbing hatch in the closet behind the tub). The fiberglass repair guy says it will need to be removed and be reinforced to properly fix. The real question is what else will be wrong with this tub?!
