Each fish tank is made from ultra-clear plastic, and replicates nature’s metabolic cycle by providing a healthy and symbiotic environment for fish and plants: as fish excrete waste in the tank, the plant atop absorbs this waste as nourishment, which in turn cleans the tank’s water. For those more interested in growing plants hydroponically, our tanks can also be used strictly as a planter, allowing you to add your own nutrients. Suggested Fish: While Bettas are the most popular fish for our Aqua-Ponic Tank, they can also house Bloodfin Tetras, White Cloud Minnows, Danios, and Guppies (1 – 3 fish). Glass terrariums are the preferred choice of professional Herpetologists. They offer the front viewing for your animal; they are suitable for damp and humid conditions, are hygienic, and easy to clean. Glass also maintains the correct heat gradient more safely and easily maintaining the correct heat gradient is critical to a reptile and amphibians well-being as they use external heat sources in their environment to regulate their body temperature. In the wild, these animals move around within their habitat(from sunlight to shade, or from above to burrows)to regulate their body temperature. If they get too cool, their metabolism slows(and in conditions that are too hot or too cool, they enter states of inactivity or hibernation). Maintaining the appropriate temperature is vital to bodily functions such as digestion. It is important to provide the proper temperature conditions for the animal to grow and thrive.

Received this item and it is amazingly large and heavy. The bass alone is well made and I'm actually waiting for my stand to show up before I put it all together because just the bass is heavy to the point there's no way to assemble it and not have it in place. There's a lot of heavy foam surrounding the base and the glass walls come in a separate wrap box. Even with several sections of foam broken everything was intact as far as the base and the glass sheets wrapped separately. The price was on the Hefty side but after receiving the Box and taking everything out know that it seems to be worth it. The top vent has a locking system to keep it in place and is well constructed and not just screen which is exactly the way the side vents are made as well.
