Wow! This 72” mantel was even better than expected. The stain was even, and the finish was more on the matte side which was exactly what I wanted for our remodeled family room! I noticed some people commenting on the pearl insert on the side. I didn’t think it was noticeable. It’s small and towards the back on the right side. The sofa looks great. The cushions are quite firm but we can always put a foam pad on it. The cords that make the tufts may be uncomfortable without a pad on top. The final product may appear lighter or darker because of the lighting and nature of the wood.

MDF is a composite wood and is very commonly used for furniture, cabinetry, shelving, and decorative moldings. Mantel ships in 3 pieces; 2 legs and 1 header. The legs attach easily to the header with nuts and bolts. Mitered hanger board assembly is included for easy installation as well as a 3-piece mitered scribe molding set to hide any gaps after installation.
