A very well thought out piece and design for my Goldens play and exercise yard. It is sturdy painted and hardware is included for assembly. The hinges are already installed which makes it a little easier. The gravel areas on the ramps and deck are a very nice touch. It would have been really nice if an outdoor waterproof varnish had been added as this piece is large and hard to move about and will be outdoors in all weather conditions. My two kitties love their new space! We have two 9 months old kitties that we rescued when they were 3 12 weeks old. They are indoor cats but we wanted to give them a safe sanctuary when are not home. I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. Once complete and set up its a decent enclosure. We got it for our chickens and attached the hen house to it, just left off a couple bars and zip tied the entrance right to it. The instructions absolutely suck and we wound up having to unbolt like 200+ connections to double up the gussets. Now, my wife and daughter got the base started and then asked for my help, I never questioned whether or not they started it correctly so perhaps they missed a step. The door is like waist high to my 6’ frame so it’s a definite crouch to get in there. I can stand in between the “roof trusses”. It has a good appearance and I wonder how it will hold up to the AZ monsoon winds. I used spiral drill in anchors to pin it down, no way the little stakes it came with will keep this in our yard in high winds. I am contemplating what to do in a couple years when the top is sun rotted away, there are only a few trusses to make the roofline and while it looks great, it does not take much to push it off level/plumb. To my amazement, this came in three relatively small, but heavy boxes and we were a few nuts and bolts short but they at least give you a spare parts bag, which had enough to complete the build. Be prepared that this comes in literally hundreds of individual pieces so it can look overwhelming, just follow it step by step and comes together rather nicely, be patient nd take your time. It really is an amazing engineering feat to get this big ole enclosure in these three little boxes. Overall, I am pretty happy with it. I wish the top had the same level of structure (aka bars) as the walls so the fabric top can be optional for predators and when it simply rots away but it would be easy enough to just get some netting and/or a shade later.. It’s nice. Quality is good not the greatest some parts came dented (wood and cage material) but overall good quality. Sooooo many screws to put together so get your drill ready took three people for us to build but definitely minimum is two. We reinforced the platforms with extra screws and few other areas. We were missing 7 main screws but nothing we couldn’t get at the stores. We have three heavy/fat cats. Overall I’d say if you would like a safe and spacious enclosure for your cats this is nice.. My 120 x 117 outdoor metal dog kennel arrived in 2 boxes on the day stated when product was ordered. I am nit able to assemble it due to the snow and ground being frozen. I am excited to get it assembled this spring as it looks to be of good quality and as described online. I think this will work perfectly as a dog jennelchicken coop and will update at a later date.
