I DO recommend the desk as long as you can accept the "CONS" I list. CONS; 1. IMPORTANT, The ledge is not wide enough to safely/securely place the stand of larger monitors. Unless you use a monitor arm I would not recommend this desk if you use anything above a 24" external monitor. 2. The 20" depth might be just a little too short if you are using a laptop with the lid open and an external monitor placed on the desk or ledge. 3. LEDs are not nearly as bright as pictures show. SO-SO The soft side drawers work but not something to brag about. I expected this so wasn't surprised. PROs I'm impressed at how sturdy it is for a light weight desk. Assembly was fairly straight forward as were the instructions that are pretty well written. Everything fit together well and assembly took less than 2 hours with two people. Finals thoughts. If you are using an external monitor I would suggest you consider NOT installing the ledge and use a monitor arm to get the most useable desk space. I did keep the ledge but might remove it later.. I am not going to lie. I was leery, but my expectations were exceeded just on the packaging alone! Took me about an hour to put together, instructions were easy-ish to follow. The operation is smooth, very quiet when moving up/down. The wiring threw me off a bit, as the light controller is in the box with the desk and everything else is in the box with the frame. I am very pleased, it feels sturdy. Caution, the box with the frame is much heavier than expected, but you can tell quality went into the making. Didn't have to program the motors or calibrate them. The cup holder is a nice touch for sure! I do wish it came with a PC tower holder, but there was room on top for the desktop. I am a developer, not a gamer, but it's perfect for my setup! The price is higher than many of the others but I chose this one, because the top is a solid piece and not split like a majority of the others. This is a good looking table but 4 stars because the top of the table is 2 pieces and the wood design doesn’t match (see pictures). The top 2 drawers do not have the side mount drawer slides instead they glide on metal side rails and they are slightly smaller than the space, you can move them left and right but they don’t come off the metal rail. I was initially worried about the drawers being made of fabric, but they’re surprisingly sturdy. I have a few heavier items in them, and they’re holding up really well. Desk seem very sturdy and comes in good packaging. Instructions were semi clear to follow, but I would happily buy again. Material is are good quality and arrived in very good time.
