I love the simplicity and low profile of this patio umbrella base stand! It says it’s 40 lbs. but it feels much heavier than that! It was extremely easy to assemble, five minutes! I’ve had my umbrella opened since I installed it and we’ve had rain and wind for the past week and this umbrella has not wavered or moved an inch! I’m in the process of finding a new outdoor table with an umbrella hole, and I have no worries that this base will keep the umbrella steady. I like the fact that it come with several hole adjustments for various size poles. I had to use the 1.5 inch hole tube. Update, have a new table with the umbrella hole. A very comfortable outdoor chair. I love the height of the back, especially because so many of the outdoor dining chairs were hitting my husband under his shoulder blades and he found them very uncomfortable. The assembly took two of us right around 15 or 20 minutes. The back and seat is a wood composite material and not metal which I was happy to discover. The only thing I don’t love about them is that the screw backs are visible on the seat back. The way I have them pleased. I don’t really see the seatbacks but honestly, it’s something that would bother me if I was looking at the seatbacks. The wheels on the one side make it easier to move when on a smooth surface (otherwise I just pick it up entirely). These chairs are fantastic! They are extremely comfortable and one of our favorite features is how quickly they dry after rain. Most of the time they’re dry almost instantly, and if not, a quick wipe with a towel is all it takes. Cleanup is effortless, and they look great on our patio. This is a nice umbrella stand and looks great. My only issue was that I underestimated how much weight I needed for my umbrella, so I use sandbags for extra stability.
