Beautiful art, frames had minor flaws (didn’t ruin it for us) I really love these pieces overall. The artwork itself is lovely — soft, calming colors that add a pop of life and warmth without being loud, bossy, or overly dramatic. They bring interest to the space while still feeling subtle and cohesive, which is exactly what I was looking for. That said, the frames weren’t perfect. A couple arrived with small dings and chips, with bits of paint missing. I was able to touch them up easily with a black Sharpie, and once hung, the imperfections are completely unnoticeable. Since ours are placed very high up, the frame quality wasn’t a dealbreaker for us — no one will ever notice from that distance. If you’re planning to hang them at eye level and are very particular about flawless frames, that’s something to keep in mind. Overall, I’m very happy with how they look in our space and would still recommend them, especially if you’re more focused on the artwork and overall effect than perfection at close range.. Holly. Summers Greenery 1 is reminiscent of American Abstract Expressionist painter Helen Frankenthaler who was known for her major contributions to the history of postwar American painting. She developed her distinctive and innovative "soak-stain" technique in the early 1950s by pouring thinned oil paint directly onto a raw, unprimed canvas laid on the ground, allowing the colors to soak into the fabric. Summers Greenery 1, a large-scale, non-representational work on canvas, carries on that method by applying thinned layers of color to achieve both translucency and saturation. A wide swathe of thin paint extends across the top of the painting and has been allowed to drip down the canvas, another hallmark of Abstract Expressionism. Muted tones and pastels in sage, alabaster, and khaki, with splashes of cerulean and mustard, bring forward a contemplative mood in this original work of art on canvas.
