This padding makes the rug feel so great when you walk on it! It is 12 “ thick, but it makes a great difference! The one downside is that it is not slide resistant. So one needs to be careful. Works great! The rug sticks to the pad and the pad sticks to the ground, and the thickness is just enough to make the rug feel more plush without becoming a tripping hazard. I finally got my rug pad after it was delivered to my neighbor. I had to wait an extra day, after the first delay in delivery, but I got them. They were wider than 3 ft., my carpets are 39" so I had to cut about 2" off the width, no big deal.
