Came with stainless steel washers, but lag screws were only zinc coated, so I purchased stainless steel 5/16 bolts instead that will not rust. I cut to fit gray rubber cover base (see photos) from HD to fit under base plates for added stability, to prevent contact from water and chlorine, prevent water from intruding into anchor holes, and for leveling posts. The set looks great and the delivery was one day early. My only complaint is one of the foot rest was broken as shown in picture and was packed about the same place where box was damaged.
