Unit is defective from manufacturer. Contractor installed and the hood will not raise up. I know electrical controls pretty well and after doing some troubleshooting the button to raise the hood gets no power from the board and the fuse is in good condition. Hope it gets fixed quickly.. Easy to install and looks good in the space. I’m most impressed with the fan noise, at max speed it sounds like a table fan or similar to white noise and not like a steam engine like most range hoods. I've been using this stove for a while now, and I'm quite satisfied with it overall. The heat output is sufficient for everyday cooking and making soups, and it heats up quickly without a long wait. The knobs with blue backlighting feel nice to the touch and turn smoothly without being loose. Cleaning is also easy; a simple wipe after cooking is enough to keep it clean. The appearance looks good in the kitchen and matches the cabinets well; everyone in the family thinks it looks nice. We absolutely love this charcoal grill! It has been a huge upgrade from the basic round charcoal grills we’ve used in the past. We purchased this for a new home build that had a slide in range in an island. We did not want an exhaust hood that hung down from the ceiling and this one was perfect for a flush mount in the ceiling. It was priced considerably less than other brands that had white glass finishes. There are a couple discoveries we made however. It did not turn on once the power was brought to the new build. We called Awoco and were told to check in the black box under the stainless grill, for a white connection that sometimes is disconnected. That solved the problem and the unit lit up and worked with the remote and the voice commands. Customer service was very helpful and seemed to know exactly what to look for. There is one other thing to be aware of with the voice command, occasionally it picks up what it believes to be a request for action and starts talking, asking for directions. We thought we were hearing voices until we realized it was the exhaust fan talking. Now if the TV or one of us saying something similar to "Hi Awoco" (prompt for commands) gets her talking we have a good chuckle.. Norma. Ware, MA. Sat Feb 14 2026
