However, I was going for a pastel-light look these are considerably brighter—and more traditional Christmas colors. They are white plastic balls when they are off. On the technical side, you cannot connect strings. We had to run each string down to a power strip. Additionally, they are not dimmable. Since I was dealing with a broken light situation, these worked fine. I’m still hunting for a pastel set for next year.
