Came with stainless steel washers, but lag screws were only zinc coated, so I purchased stainless steel 5/16 bolts instead that will not rust. I cut to fit gray rubber cover base (see photos) from HD to fit under base plates for added stability, to prevent contact from water and chlorine, prevent water from intruding into anchor holes, and for leveling posts. Looks great, seems sturdy, has held up to multiple rainstorms. The installation instructions, however, are not great and I had to redo some parts because of it. I knew from reading previous reviews that this would be the case and tried to thoroughly figure out the instructions beforehand but still had issues. Good value for the money. Hasn’t been through strong winds or storms yet so not sure how it will hold up in harsh conditions. Canopy is held in extended position with magnets.
