Why in the world the previous owner installed white ceiling fans on a brown house is beyond me!! I hated the old fan, how dirty it was and how it didn't match the exterior of the house in any way at all. So, I stumbled upon this GREENEVER outdoor ceiling fan and knew it would be perfect! The fan was fairly easy to install (cramming the remote box into the housing without crimping wires is always the hardest part!). The ABS blades will hold up in any weather, yet don't look like plastic. The fan is totally quiet - not a sound! The 3 different LED temperature colors are perfect for our outdoor area off of the bedroom - we can choose a bright white light, or something more muted in the evening. I'm definitely pleased!. I bought this almost a year ago and had it hanging outside all winter (which, yes, was not smart). A high wind storm ripped it off my siding. It hit a metal coffee table, put a dent the table, and then flew into a snow drift where I found it. IT WAS UNDAMAGED! I just had to replace the hanging hardware. This Ceiling fan was purchased for our pole barn. the heat inside the bars gets intense in the summer months and there is very little airflow, this fan offers the perfect solution. Well this looks fabulous and survived a torrential downpour, so we are happy. Already received a compliment. The template for drilling was off! I had to remove one peg and re-drill a hole (the template did not set the pegs wide enough).
