Beautiful chairs that were very easy to assemble. The only challenge we had was with the pre-drilled holes for the cup holder bracket. They were a little too close to the edge and cracked the wood when the screws were inserted. Easy fix: just drilled my own holes more towards the center of the base. Use the Allen key that looks like a wine bottle opener! These chairs are beautiful, sturdy and very comfortable, but they take a few hours to put together. The first chair took me forever to assemble, but I used it as a learning experience. I learned that I could have saved myself a ton of time if I had used the provided allen key with the red top (looks like a wine bottle opener), instead of the conventional one that was also provided. I also learned that I needed help from someone else for a few stages in the process because it saves a lot of time. Things went a lot smoother and faster when I put together the second chair.
