As far as the lamp goes it works and I do love the Ott lights however I needed something that I could pack easily to take to weekend crafting retreats. My problem is with Wayfair. The items description states that it comes with a cord, and there is a plug in on the back of the light however no cord. I did a chat with Wayfair where I did a screenshot of the item description and the hole in the back of the light and I was told that they would send a cord out to me. I'm not yet sure how well my new grow lights are going to help my plants and I wasn't at all happy to learn that they have to be plugged in to work since nothing in the description or photos shows a cord, but they are easy to use and very convenient in less-than-convenient locations. There is also a timer, tho the control is so tiny that it is difficult to read. After using it just one day, I noticed my succulent reaching upward, toward the light, which generally means that it is not enough light, but I moved the light closer to the plant and that seems to have helped.
