We purchased these as an upgrade to previously purchased tiles that was matte in texture. (Same company) There was an issue with the installation/setting of the tiles, so the contractor offered to redo the bathroom floor at his expense. I preferred the polished tiles so I paid the additional cost to get these. I like them because the polished finish offer a nice sheen but I find them a bit difficult to maintain. This is a very nice matte black tile. It appears to be high quality and is great for stairs etc since the color is throughout the tile.
