The gas range is very powerful, the iron grill is sturdy and offers a flat top (no pot or pan wiggling!) for the entire range. This feature is helpful in a small kitchen with limited counter space. Other reviewers are correct when saying the temperature dial needs to be set above the needed temp to get a correct preheat. Remedy with a hanging oven thermometer. Do not, I repeat, Do not get the ‘GE Installation’ service with this appliance. Even if you buy an installation kit. The technician will come in, excuse in hand, and will tell you that any dust, or light green on the gas pipe disallows them to service the installation. (When plumbers test for gas leaks upon installation they spray a little water on the line, leading to a light green) Be ready with your own plumber on the day of delivery. This is a very nice matte black tile. It appears to be high quality and is great for stairs etc since the color is throughout the tile. We purchased these as an upgrade to previously purchased tiles that was matte in texture. (Same company) There was an issue with the installation/setting of the tiles, so the contractor offered to redo the bathroom floor at his expense. I preferred the polished tiles so I paid the additional cost to get these. I like them because the polished finish offer a nice sheen but I find them a bit difficult to maintain.
