It’s incredibly soft and plush, but unlike other soft mattresses I’ve tried, you don’t sink in so much that it’s hard to move or roll over. It feels like you’re sleeping on a cloud, but with just the right amount of support underneath, so I wake up feeling rested and without aches. I've been sleeping on it for about a month now and have no issues waking up with a sore back, shoulders, or neck! A couple of things to keep in mind: this mattress is very tall, about 16", so you’ll need deep pocket sheets and a deep mattress protector, and it’s also very heavy, which makes changing the sheets a bit of a workout. This dog bed has been perfect for my large Goldendoodle! The size is great and gives my dog plenty of room to stretch out and get comfortable. The cushioning is soft but still supportive, so it seems really comfortable for longer naps. The material feels high quality and durable, and the cover is easy to remove and wash, which is a huge plus with a big dog. It also keeps its shape well and doesn’t flatten out like some other beds we’ve tried. Most importantly, my Goldendoodle absolutely loves it and goes straight to it whenever it’s time to relax. Just having to have emergency hamstring reattachment surgery to where I was laid up in bed for almost 6 weeks I was so afraid that I wouldn't be comfortable and not be able to get any rest to heal. That couldn't have been further from the truth. This mattress is firm and holds my body. I don't "sink in" like foam mattresses. It has just enough give in the padding on the very top so that you know you're not laying on " a board". I can only be comfortable being on firm mattresses and this is extremely helpful to my back and to my recovery for my hamstring. I wouldn't give this mattress up if God himself asked me for it.
