I installed slat wood in my gym and the height was 3" short of the ceiling so I got creative. I installed this crown at the top of the panelling that served as a channel for LED color-change lighting (smart lights so I could voice control). What a great product! Lightweight and easy to cut with a fine blade in a miter saw. No chipping of finish when cutting. Installed a 13 x 13 room in under 3 hours with two people. Used the standard adhesive (blue tube) to secure it to a painted ceiling. Paint was sanded prior to installation. If you're intimidated by wood crown, try foam! I'm actually very impressed with how real it looks. Installing them on our laundry cabinets was a breeze. We used a simple handsaw to cut miters. Glued it onto the cabinet, caulked some seams, and wa-la! Before painting, we did a quick sand and then two coats of paint. One thing about the foam I really like is once it's painted it looks smooth without any brush strokes -- looks factory painted just like the cabinets.
