What a great product! Lightweight and easy to cut with a fine blade in a miter saw. No chipping of finish when cutting. Installed a 13 x 13 room in under 3 hours with two people. Used the standard adhesive (blue tube) to secure it to a painted ceiling. Paint was sanded prior to installation. I installed slat wood in my gym and the height was 3" short of the ceiling so I got creative. I installed this crown at the top of the panelling that served as a channel for LED color-change lighting (smart lights so I could voice control). It does give you that recessed ceiling look but be warned that there are random defects in the material that make it translucent in places. This is with 510 lumen/meter led behind it.
