I can’t say enough about this dehumidifier. It’s extremely well made. It performs better than expected and has replaced two 70 pint dehumidifiers in a very humid indoor space. It holds humidity levels to our desired humidity range of below 50 without issue. The blower is powerful and helps to move air around the space it is in. The gravity drain is easy to connect the provided hose and clamp to as well. There is also a washable and reusable air filter on the intake side. Just got the microwave set up and working, so time will tell. The MCM1611ST is very similar to a Magic Chef I bought in 2004. The old machine needed some parts, which impressively Magic Chef still sold, but the cost could have approached this new machine. The old machine had an all stainless case and cavity, which these new machines lack. It was also made in Korea, while all the new machines are made in China.
