When I opened the box I was impressed with this tile. The green color is gorgeous and the tile is iridescent. The light shines off the tiles beautifully, reminds me of the ocean and Carribean. In the dark spots the color looks darker but still nice. The different greens blend in so nicely. This tile is beautiful, with a nice sheen and enough irregularity to catch the light and make it look expensive. However, 2/3 of the boxes I ordered came with broken tiles. I think broken tiles are more likely with this format because the grooves create weaknesses in the 14x14 sheets. Besides the breakage, the tile was easy to work with and regular enough that all the groves lined up without too much effort. I used it for my kitchen backsplash and am really pleased with the look. The finished product is beautiful but buyer beware…this product is extremely labor intensive. The metal tiles are ceramic with a metal overlay, which causes a problem with cutting. There is only a small circle of glue holding them together and the metal pops off upon cutting and needs to be glued back on. This happened roughly 50 times during our project.. Shana. I took off 1 star because there are several sheets where some of the tiny tiles are crooked (don’t line up properly) and have to be removed off backer and realigned. This is a very nice matte black tile. It appears to be high quality and is great for stairs etc since the color is throughout the tile.
