The range hood came well packaged and the assembly instructions were easy to follow. As we were missing a few inches to the ceiling with the included chimney component, we ordered the longer version directly from the manufacturer. Including a picture of the range hood after install, and a second picture after painting. Our only issue with the product is that it “whistles” at its lower speeds and due to slightly inconsistent suction, the metal grills were vibrating against the lower horizontal frame. This duct cover extension kit replaces standard duct covers to accommodate up to a 12-foot ceiling height. This kit covers exposed duct work running from the hood to the ceiling while providing a finished look to your range hood. I looked long and hard for a duct cover that would hide the off center ducting I had because of a new range installation. I need something large enough to span the ducting and create the illusion of being on center if the new 36” range. The cover is heavier gauge stainless steel, thinking it is at least 18 gauge. It will not dent easily and looks like a professional, quality range hood. I have to figure out how to attach it as it is made specifically for Zephyr brand range hoods and came with no additional mounting hardware. The brushed copper hardware are beyond beautiful.They are GE, sent tools to do it and it was super easy.The only issue, was that it took several weeks for it to be delivered. It was considered an appliance and had to be signed for.
