Really dressed up our columns. We ordered 2 wraps and unfortunately one was incorrectly cut so we had to ship it back but received a replacement quickly. As a DIY project, it was pretty easy to install but the instructions weren't great. Also, there were no videos on how to install it from the manufacturer which would have been nice.. Anonymous. Amazing...I grappled with buying these columns for 2 years, because of the non-refundable policy, so I had to be sure. I have a small porch so I knew I couldnt get the columns to wide or the proportions would look odd. So I used makeshift cardboard and the like to determine what to buy...I made the best decision with the 5.63 width columns they look amazing. My contractor bought 5 wood post from our local big box store and used brackets to install them on the porch. He used his nail gun to fasten each wrap to the wood post, he said it was rather simple to install. Next he caulked all the small nail gun holes and painted ( per instructions for winter protection) looks amazing. It has a faux painted finish that gives it a rich, aged, antique feel, and it genuinely looks like beautiful, old woodwork. It is made from an extremely lightweight polyurethane material that seems as though it would make this product much easier and cheaper to install than actual wood crown molding. Unfortunately, this won’t work for the project that I had intended it for, but if you are making upgrades to your existing home or building a new home and would like to add some lovely old world elements, these crown moldings are a wonderful option!.
