We purchased this for a new home build that had a slide in range in an island. We did not want an exhaust hood that hung down from the ceiling and this one was perfect for a flush mount in the ceiling. It was priced considerably less than other brands that had white glass finishes. There are a couple discoveries we made however. It did not turn on once the power was brought to the new build. We called Awoco and were told to check in the black box under the stainless grill, for a white connection that sometimes is disconnected. That solved the problem and the unit lit up and worked with the remote and the voice commands. Customer service was very helpful and seemed to know exactly what to look for. There is one other thing to be aware of with the voice command, occasionally it picks up what it believes to be a request for action and starts talking, asking for directions. We thought we were hearing voices until we realized it was the exhaust fan talking. I use the top pull-out for utensils and the lower one for everyday items like tea, spices, and kitchen towels. What I love most is how much counter space it freed up. Instead of clutter everywhere, everything has a clean and tidy place to go. It looks modern and minimal, but also very functional. The design is clever and the 31.5” width fits perfectly in my kitchen without feeling bulky. I also really enjoy that the finish is easy to wipe down and doesn’t collect dust or fingerprints like some other organizers I’ve tried. Overall, this is a very well-made and thoughtful piece.
