Didnt expect to like these because of the weird shape but to be honest they have become a fancy favorite in my house. The diversity of authorship ranged from unknowns to many that would become very famous, especially in the fantasy and science fiction realm. As not every child enjoyed fantasy, the pulps covered a variety of topics. Sports was a big topic and it covered everything from football to baseball but even less key sports like swimming and field and track. Many of the pulps combined short stories to produce a single pulp. The term pulp came from the poor quality of paper the magazines were printed on.

If the blade edge holds up with day to day use, and edge is easy to maintain and keep sharp then this is truly an exceptional value for the price paid. I know that I could have spent a LOT more and perhaps gotten better quality, but these seem to have a great feel to them during use and come with a lifetime warranty. The real test will be edge retention and how often I will need to sharpen them with regular use. I am very happy with my purchase so far, and maybe if you were a professional chef you may require the very best, but for the average home cook, these are extremely nice for the price paid and I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family..
